General information
The Invoice & Receipt Generator is a formatting and calculation tool. It arranges the information you type into a professional-looking document and lets you download it as a PDF. It is not an accounting system, not an invoicing platform, not a payment processor and not a source of professional advice.
No accounting, tax or legal advice
Nothing on this site constitutes accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and no advisor–client relationship is created by using it. Whether an invoice or receipt is valid, what it must contain, how tax such as VAT, GST or sales tax should be calculated and displayed, and whether your business must use a government-approved e-invoicing format all depend on the laws of your country, state and industry, and on your own tax registration status. Those rules change. Confirm them with a qualified accountant, tax adviser or lawyer before relying on any document you produce.
The tax and discount calculations performed by the tool are simple arithmetic applied to the numbers you enter: subtotal − discount = taxable amount; taxable amount × tax rate = tax; taxable amount + tax = total. If your jurisdiction requires tax to be calculated before discounts, per line item, or at multiple rates, the result will need adjusting by you.
No warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors; that calculations or output will be accurate for your circumstances; or that a downloaded file will open in every PDF reader on every device. Always review a document before you send it, and keep your own copies of anything important.
Because everything is produced in your browser, a lost tab, a cleared cache, a crashed browser or a device failure can destroy work in progress that we have no copy of and cannot recover. Tick “Save my business details in this browser” if you would like your business information to be reused next time, and store your finished PDFs somewhere you control.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClickTools and the operators of this site accept no liability for any loss or damage — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, penalties, interest, disputed payments or business interruption — arising from the use of, or inability to use, this Service or from any document created with it. You use the Service entirely at your own risk.
Currency information
Currency symbols and formatting are provided from a fixed, static list for display convenience only. The Service does not fetch, calculate or guarantee exchange rates, and no figure on this site should be treated as a currency conversion or a statement of value in another currency.
External links and advertising
The site may contain links to external websites and may display third-party advertisements, including through Google AdSense. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, products, services, privacy practices or accuracy. A link or an advertisement is not an endorsement. Any dealings you have with advertisers or linked sites are between you and them.
