1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website and tools at receipt.clicktools.app (the “Service”), operated by ClickTools (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Licence to use the Service
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service to create invoices, receipts and similar documents for your own lawful business or personal purposes. The Service is free: there is no premium tier, no paywalled template and no per-document fee.
You agree not to:
- use the Service to create false, misleading, fraudulent or unlawful documents, including fake proof of payment;
- impersonate another person or business, or use another party's name, logo or trademark without permission;
- attempt to interfere with, overload, reverse engineer or disrupt the Service or its hosting;
- remove or obscure the small “Generated with receipt.clicktools.app” attribution in exported documents if you redistribute the Service's source code;
- resell the Service as your own without a separate written agreement.
3. Your content and your responsibility
You retain all rights to the business details, client details and documents you create. Because the Service processes everything inside your browser, you are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality and safekeeping of your documents — including keeping your own backups of downloaded PDFs. We do not host, back up or recover your documents, and we cannot.
4. No professional advice
The Service is a document-formatting tool. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. Invoice, tax and e-invoicing requirements differ between countries and change over time. You are responsible for ensuring your documents meet the rules that apply to your business, including any requirements relating to tax registration numbers, VAT/GST treatment, sequential numbering or government-approved e-invoicing formats. Please see our Disclaimer.
5. Intellectual property
The Service's layout, text, graphics and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The documents you create with the Service belong to you. The PDF library (jsPDF) and the embedded font subset (DejaVu Sans) are used under their own open-source licences and remain the property of their respective authors.
6. Advertising and third-party services
The Service displays advertising provided by third parties, including Google AdSense. Your use of third-party services and any interaction with advertisements is governed by those providers' own terms and privacy policies. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for advertisements or the destinations they link to. Third-party cookies used for advertising are described in our Privacy Policy, and you can decline non-essential cookies using the consent bar.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available and correct, but it is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice, and we may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date above will reflect the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated documents will satisfy any particular legal or commercial requirement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — including any loss arising from an inaccurate document, a failed download, a lost file or a browser or device problem. Our total aggregate liability for any claim connected with the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service, which, because the Service is free, is zero. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClickTools and its operators from any claim, loss, damage or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, the documents you create with it, or your breach of these Terms.
11. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder continues in full force. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. They are governed by the laws applicable in the operator's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and nothing prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protections available where you live.
12. Contact
